Subject: Re: [cisco-voip] PRI config with Adtran Atlas 550
Assuming your cabling is correct then its simple. I run this in production.
On the cisco configuration:
controller T1 1/1
framing esf
fdl both
linecode b8zs
cablelength short 133
pri-group timeslots 1-24
!
interface Serial1/1:23
no ip address
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-5ess
isdn timer t321 30000
isdn incoming-voice modem
isdn guard-timer 1000
isdn T306 60000
isdn send-alerting
isdn outgoing display-ie
no fair-queue
no cdp enable
!
!
voice-port 1/1:23
timeouts interdigit 2
bearer-cap Speech
!
----------------------------
Since I have the switch type set to primary-5ess then the Atlas side
needs to be set to 'User' and not 'Network':
. Switch Type Lucent 5E
. First DS0 1
. Number of DS0s 23
. Strip MSD None
. Ntwrk Spec. Fac. - Voice Normal
. Ntwrk Spec. Fac. - Data Normal
. Called Digits Transfered All
. Outgoing Caller ID Send as provided
. Source ID 0
. Swap ANI/DNIS Disabled
. B Channel Selection Normal
. Busy Option Pass-Thru
. B Channel Restarts Enabled
In the actual interface configuration:
ATLAS 550/Modules[Slt1]/T1/PRI-4 Menus/Configuration
. Prt Frame Code Tx Yel Tx PRM LBO LB Accept Pulse Density
. 2 ESF B8ZS On Off 0 dB Accept Off
--------------------------------
That should pretty much just work.

Post by Jason BurtonHas anyone had any luck configuring a PRI into a cisco router using an
Atran Atlas 550? I've followed adtrans docs, but I can't the the T1
interface on the router to even see a carrier. The ISDN Layer 1 status on
the the router shows DEACTIVATED. any help?
Thanks in advance!
